Years ago after my 21 year journey with mental health issues began, I was crying & wanted it all to end. Lying on my bed in a pool of tears during what I thought was the end, you looked up at me with those big brown eyes & said, "I will save you, mommy." It broke my heart and healed a part of me in that same moment. I knew then I couldn't take my life because I had this beautiful little girl that loved me and needed me, and I needed to be her mommy.
